City of Buena Vista Public Works crews continue efforts following the winter storm. Most main roads and numbered streets are clear, and most city streets are passable overall. Some avenues may still be slick or difficult to travel due to lingering snow and ice. With temperatures remaining below freezing, black ice is possible, particularly in shaded areas and during overnight and early morning hours. Drivers are encouraged to take it slow and use extra caution.

Crews are also continuing work to clear sidewalks and parking areas at key public locations as conditions allow.

Refuse collection is beginning with commercial routes. Some alleys will be assessed and worked on today as conditions allow, which will help determine when residential refuse collection can safely resume.

Water and sewer crews are responding to weather-related issues, including frozen meters and waterline concerns, and will continue addressing calls as they come in.
