LEXINGTON, Va. (October 14, 2025) — The application system for the Rockbridge Area Tourism Event Sponsorship Opportunity opens Friday, October 17, 2025. The Rockbridge Regional Tourism Board offers sponsorships for special events that drive tourism to Lexington, Buena Vista, and Rockbridge County, Virginia.

Applicants must be organizing an event located within Lexington, Buena Vista, or Rockbridge County, Virginia, and the event must occur between January 1 and June 20, 2026. Requests should not exceed $3,000 per event. Awards will be based on the strength of the application, including special attention to the potential to attract out-of-town visitors. A total of $10,000 is earmarked for distribution, though total disbursement is not guaranteed.

The window for completing an application is October 17 through November 16, 2025. Awards will be announced Friday, December 19, 2025, and funds will be distributed by the week of December 29, 2025.
