Update 11/17/2023: Leaf collection will be delayed as a result of dry conditions and dust leading to equipment malfunctions, as well as hazardous air quality conditions. To date, leaf collection has been proceeding as per the schedule. Public Works will make every effort to complete leaf collection without any additional delays as equipment and conditions allow.

Leaf collection in Buena Vista will begin the week of October 3th. Leaves should be placed adjacent to the curb or pavement prior to 7 am on Monday of the scheduled week. This schedule is tentative and subject to change due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances.

When raking loose leaves to the curb, please be careful not to include rocks, walnuts or large pieces of wood as this can cause equipment damage, injury and delays to the schedule. Leaf piles should not block streets, alleys, or sidewalks due to safety hazards. Leaves placed in alleys will not be collected unless they are bagged.

Week of October 30 – 1st through 12th Streets
Week of November 6 – 13th through 19th Streets
Week of November 13 – 20th through 27th Streets
Week of November 20 – 28th through 41st Streets

**We will make a final collection throughout the entire city following the completion of the above schedule.
