Facade Improvement Program Information Session
Do you own property in the downtown district?! You may be eligible for the CBDG Façade Improvement program!
This summer, Buena Vista was awarded a $1 million Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) for downtown revitalization aimed at blight elimination and enhancing community development. This grant will fund three project activities: 21st street streetscape improvements, wayfinding signage, and a façade improvement program.
The façade improvement program will be a one-time partnership between the City and building owners to improve exteriors of their buildings in the downtown area with the goals to eliminate blight, stimulate investment, and beautify downtown. The application period will close this fall. Once closed, CBDG funds will no longer be available for façade work. You will not want to miss this opportunity!!
All eligible properties have received or will receive a letter by mail this week. However, I have also attached a map of the eligible downtown district. If the property falls within the red line, it is eligible to apply.
