As downtown continues its reemergence as a dynamic environment to live, work, and play, we began exploring a vibrant community gathering space. In 2021, the City purchased the property at the corner of 21^st Street and Magnolia Avenue thanks to a generous grant from the Virginia Outdoors Foundation. From there, we began work with the community to plan and develop what has been temporarily coined the "Town Square" - stay tuned for naming updates!
